Broke down.

We broke down in the middle of nowhere-White River, South Dakota. The wheel hub assembly on the front passenger tire went out. I’m grateful to the Lord that it did not go out while driving 80 miles an hour on I-90. I began hearing the scratching sound as we approached Murdo, South Dakota. We pulled over at Murdo to gas up and then headed towards the Badlands. When it started again I pulled over at a repair shop in White River. Please pray for a quick repair. We are waiting for the part to come from a town 30 minutes away. Thank God they had it!

The town has no hotel or place to stay so we’re just walking around waiting for the part to come and then waiting for a 2 hour repair. The town has just over 500 people and one of the old-timers said you can talk on one end of the town and a person on the other end of town can hear you 🙂

It looks like we’re here for another three hours so we’re gonna walk through town to see if we can’t circle it a few times while we’re waiting.

Schylie’s Graduation from CCCC

We were blessed yesterday to attend Schylie’s graduation from Cape Cod Community College with her AA. God be praised, she graduated with High Honors, having a GPA of 3.98. We are so very proud of her hard work through these last two years of study. She is leaving on Sept 4 to serve as a Missionary Associate with our team of missionaries in Karamoja, Uganda for one year. Please join us in praising God for this wonderful achievement and please keep her in your prayers as she seeks to serve the Lord.

Jeein’s Graduation from Gordon College

Today we had a wonderful time attending Jeein’s graduation from Gordon College. We are proud of her for working so diligently to earn a BA in Psychology and we are so very thankful to the Lord for upholding and enabling her along the way.

Jeein came into our lives on June 9, 2012 and arrived in our home on Aug 6, 2012 to begin her studies at Cape Cod Community College. We have come to love her as our own and rejoice with her parents, David and Jenny Kang, and with her brother Harry, to see what God has wrought over these last 5 years.

Here are some of the pictures from today’s ceremony and lunch afterwards. We are so thankful that her mother was able to be with her to celebrate this important day.
