It’s been awhile! We sure have been busy visiting lots of relatives. On Monday June 26, we started the day packing up our things. Later on, we went to Wildcat lake to swim and fish with Grandpa. It was a perfect day, weather-wise.
On Tuesday, we had a nice lunch and visit with our cousin, Amanda, and her children Andi & Micheal. Amanda is Daddy’s niece. We chatted with them for a few hours. It was a great time. Later on, we drove through Manchester and visited Mama’s childhood home. It was neat to see where she lived and the neighborhood she was a part of. There was such a beautiful view from her house, which she told us was not there when she lived there. Many trees were taken down which allowed you a clear wide view across the water to Seattle. For dinner, we visited with some more cousins, Darren & Heather, and their sons, Caleb and Jacob. Darren is Mama’s cousin. We had a delightful time fellowshipping with them. We girls don’t remember ever seeing Caleb and Jacob, so it was wonderful to meet them and get to know them.
On Wednesday, we said farewell to our Grandparents, Mama’s dad and step-mom. We stopped by Grandpa’s work to give him one last hug. We then began our drive to Puyallup where we would visit Mama’s step-sister, Christal, and her children. We met them at Point Defiance Zoo and spent about 5 hours going to exhibits and events, and enjoying all the animals. That evening, Christal’s son Emmanuelle and his new wife, Jeana, stopped by for a visit. We hadn’t seen Emmanuelle since 2009 ( and then only briefly), and we hadn’t yet met Jeana. We had a blast getting to know them and playing games. We spent the night with Christal and her girls.
After a late night, we slept in Thursday morning. We had a nice breakfast and started packing up. We packed some sandwiches as we prepared to swim at Spanaway lake. On the way, we stopped by for a short visit to see Christal’s other sons, Giovanni & Devon. They went with us to the lake and we spent a few hours swimming, floating, and hanging out with them. We also hadn’t seen them for several years, so we very much enjoyed spending time with them. Emmanuelle & Jeana were able to join us at the lake for a little while before we had to leave. After packing up our things at Christal’s, we said our goodbyes and left. We arrived back at Mama’s mom’s house in Spokane around midnight.
Today has been slow and relaxing. Due to our late night, we slept in longer than usual… After breakfast, we washed our car and Grandma’s car. Now we are resting and hanging out.
Signing off…
